Kevin Costner's Lawyer Responds to Report That He'd Only Film 'Yellowstone' for 1 Week

Kevin Costner‘s lawyer is responding to that bombshell Yellowstone report.

If you didn’t see, a few weeks ago, a source shared that Kevin, who plays patriarch John Dutton on the series, “originally limited himself to 65 days of shooting on Yellowstone,” and “only wanted to shoot for 50 days for the first part of the current season.” However, for the second half of filming, he apparently only “wanted to spend a week shooting.”

This report concluded that, because of this, the show might have to come to an end.

Now, Kevin‘s lawyer is responding to all of this drama.

“The idea that Kevin was only willing to work one week on the second half of season 5 of Yellowstone is an absolute lie,” Kevin‘s lawyer, Marty Singer told Puck News. “It’s ridiculous — and anyone suggesting it shouldn’t be believed for one second. As everyone who knows anything about Kevin is well aware, he is incredibly passionate about the show and has always gone way above and beyond to ensure its success.”

A rep for the show’s network, Paramount, also released the following statement to the outlet: “As we previously stated, Kevin has been a key component of the success of our Yellowstone series, and we hope that continues from here on out.”

If Yellowstone were to end due to this scheduling conflict, a new star was in talks to take over.
