Paris Hilton Talks Kim Kardashian's Motherhood Advice, an Encounter with Harvey Weinstein, Advocacy Work & More in 'Glamour UK' Interview
On speaking out about her experience in boarding school, especially Provo Canyon
Paris has become an outspoken advocate and activist since she revealed that experience she had at Provo Canyon school and other boarding schools.
“This was something that I had blocked out from my memory, but after hearing the story from other survivors, I started having flashbacks,” she said about her past. “Late at night, staff members would come in and take certain girls and bring them into this room. And literally you would scream and cry, they would hold you down, four of them, men and women, and literally just be putting fingers… and just doing things on a regular basis to certain girls.”
About her decision to become an advocate, Paris said, “I feel most empowered when I’m doing my advocacy work. Knowing that I can be the hero I always needed when I was a little girl.”
“I think I’ve just been through so many things that I’m a warrior, I’m a fighter, I’m brave. And I’m a badass,” she added.
