Fresh off her big performance at the 2023 Super Bowl, Rihanna is gearing up for another performance at the 2023 Oscars.

Variety confirmed the news, noting that Rihanna will be the first star to perform at the awards show while pregnant since Catherine Zeta-Jones did so in 2003.
Of course, Rihanna used the Super Bowl Halftime Show as an opportunity to reveal that she was expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky. She gave birth to her first child – a son – in 2022.
This will mark her first performance at the Oscars. It is also her first time being nominated for the ceremony.
Rihanna faces off against the likes of Lady Gaga (“Hold My Hand” for Top Gun: Maverick) and Diane Warren (“Applause” from Tell it Like a Woman) in the category.
The 2023 Oscars are taking place on March 12.
It’s been years since Rihanna last dropped an album. Check out what she had to say about the status of new music during an interview earlier this month.
