'The Rachael Ray Show' Becomes Latest Daytime Talk Show To End After 15+ Seasons

Another talk show is officially ending, and this time it’s Rachael Ray‘s.

The famed Food Network chef turned talk show host will be ending her show after 17 seasons on air, according to Deadline.

In a statement, Rachael opened up about the decision to step away from the show.

“In my more than 20 plus years in television I have had 17 wonderful seasons working in daytime television with Rachael,” she shared. “However I’ve made the decision that’s it’s time for me to move on to the next exciting chapter in my broadcast career.”

Rachael added, “My passions have evolved from the talk show format production and syndication model to a platform unencumbered by the traditional rules of distribution… That is why I am looking forward to putting all my energies into my recently announced production arm, Free Food Studios.”

“Thank you to all of our Rachael daytime show partners, crew, and affiliates, and the wonderful years we all worked together.”

The Rachael Ray Show is just the latest daytime show to end, following in the footsteps of of Dr. Phil, as well as a handful of court shows.

In addition to featuring a culinary component, The Rachael Ray Show also had interviews with celebrities, advice from health and lifestyle experts, transformations, and live music performances.

The show was nominated for 37 Daytime Emmys, and won three of them, for Outstanding Talk Show.
