Travis Kelce Jokes About Beating His Brother, Smoking Weed & Winning the Super Bowl During 'Saturday Night Live' Opening Monologue

Travis Kelce hopped onstage to deliver the opening monologue for Saturday Night Live shortly after winning his second Super Bowl game.
The 33-year-old tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs is hosting the March 4 episode of the late night show alongside musical guest Kelsea Ballerini, marking his first time on the stage.
During his opening monologue, he opened up about beating his brother Jason Kelce during the 2023 Super Bowl. Jason was in the audience for the show alongside Travis‘ mom and dad.
Travis also joked about smoking weed in college and what it takes to win two Super Bowls. He even revealed if hosting SNL was better than his last big win.

“Winning the Super Bowl was much better,” Travis clarified after opening the monologue by claiming that it was was better for him to host the late night show.
Turning the attention to his brother in the audience, he said “it was pretty awkward” to beat him in the game.
“Especially because after the game we had to ride home together. Our mom drove us in her minivan. Just like the good old days,” he added.
Travis also touched on a controversial call during the game that had people claiming the final moments were rigged.
Then he turned the attention to his time playing football in college: “I got kicked off the team because I tested positive for marijuana. So it just goes to show you if you smoke week and you’re bad at school, you can win the Super Bowl twice.”
