Derek Carr Signs New $150 Million Deal with New Orleans Saints

Former Raiders player Derek Carr is headed to the New Orleans Saints.

The 31-year-old quarterback has played with the Raiders since he joined the NFL back in 2014. However, he was released from his contract with the team earlier this year.

Reports broke Monday morning (March 6) that he was signing a four-year deal with the Saints, and it was worth a reported $150 million.

According to Bleacher Report, Derek‘s contract is thought to guarantee him at least $100 million and to include a clause guaranteeing he won’t be traded to another team.

The outlet noted that he had history with Dennis Allen, who is the head coach of the Saints. They previously worked together on the Raiders.

As the news was breaking, Derek strongly hinted that the reports were true by tweeting a video from within the Saints’ stadium.

The news comes after the latest football season concluded with the 2023 Super Bowl. One of the stars of the winning team recently landed a big gig on Saturday Night Live.
