Kristoffer Polaha Shares A New Update About The Future Of Hallmark's 'Mystery 101' Series (Exclusive)

It’s officially been two years since the last Mystery 101 movie aired on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

The seventh film in the signature mystery franchise, titled Deadly History, ended on a major cliffhanger and many fans are still wondering what comes next.

Since it’s been almost two years time, does that mean the series is over? Or will another movie get made to conclude the series?

JustJared wanted answers, so we asked star Kristoffer Polaha what he knew about it.

While talking to Kristoffer about his upcoming movie, A Winning Team, we knew we had to ask about Mystery 101 as well.

He starred opposite Jill Wagner in the series, as Detective Travis Burke, who reluctantly recruits college professor Amy Winslow to serve as a consultant on a handful of his murder cases.

So, are there more Mystery 101 movies coming?

“The last 30 seconds of number seven where you’re like, what?” Kristoffer shared, admitting that leaving fans on a cliffhanger like that was torture.

In the final moments of the seventh film, just after Travis and Amy tell each other they love each other, a time jump occurs. Within the span of just months, Amy and Travis have seemingly split and she was surprisingly engaged to someone else.

“We love telling those stories and whatever the network decides…it’s inconclusive,” Kristoffer added.

However, he did say that “there’s always been conversation about number eight, [but] there’s no like official word. I know that some of those shows were officially canceled, but there’s been no official word on Mystery 101.”

He continued, “I do know that the mystery audience is a really awesome one and I want to continue telling stories for that audience in one way or another. I’m excited to see the future brings.”
