Kelsea Ballerini Defends Herself From Accusations That Her Romance With Chase Stokes Is Fake

Kelsea Ballerini knows what some people are saying about her love life.

The 29-year-old country singer posted a picture of her sitting on Chase Stokes‘ lap and captioned it “idk seems staged. probably PR,” with an upside down emoji.

Last month, 30-year-old Outer Banks actor took to his Instagram Stories to share a PDA-filled photo of him and Kelsea.

Kelsea explained in an episode of her Call Me Daddy podcast how they met. “I slid into his DMs,” she said. “I was just like…I’m not going to get on the apps. And he shoots [Outer Banks] in Charleston and my manager lives there. He put the bug in my ear. He’s like, ‘You know who’s really cute when you’re ready…’ and I’m like, ‘You’re so right!’ I’ve never seen the show but I knew of him. I followed him, he followed me and I swan dove right in,” she said. “His handle is @HiChaseStokes, so I said, ‘Hi, Chase Stokes.’”

Last week, the couple was seen sitting together at the New York Rangers hockey game at Madison Square Garden.
