Jennifer Garner is a woman on a mission.

The 50-year-old Alias actress stars in Apple TV+’s new limited series, The Last Thing He Told Me.

She must forge a relationship with her teenage stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice), to find the truth behind why her husband (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) has mysteriously disappeared.

“I haven’t heard from Owen in 24 hours,” she says of her husband, who goes missing and leaves a note asking her to protect her stepdaughter.

The limited series is based on the #1 New York Times bestselling novel, created and adapted by author Laura Dave.

“Why are you making him sound like some criminal mastermind,” Jennifer‘s character Hannah asks someone as she gathers more information.

Jennifer also executive produces the series, along with Reese Witherspoon. She also reunites with her Alias co-star Victor Garber in the series.

“I may not know why your father did what he did, but I know who he is,” she says to her daughter.

The Last Thing He Told Me will be streaming on Apple TV+ on April 14.
