Quinta Brunson is headed to Saturday Night Live to host the April 1 episode of the popular late night show.

The 33-year-old Abbott Elementary star was announced as the host during the March 11 episode, which was hosted by Jenna Ortega.

This will mark her first time hosting the show.

Quinta will be joined on the show by musical guest Lil Yachty.

The April 1 episode could be on the tense side, as it is the date that several post-production editors are threatening to go on strike. Variety broke the news earlier in the week, reporting that work could come to a halt if bargains about pay and health care benefits remain stalled.

Quinta‘s exciting new gig comes after news that Abbott Elementary was renewed for a third season earlier this year. She won big for her role on the show during the 2023 Golden Globes.
