Drew Barrymore to Host the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards

Drew Barrymore will be hosting the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards!

The 48-year-old Charlie’s Angels actress will host the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards live from the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles on Monday, May 8.

Drew has been nominated a total of nine times by MTV and has taken home three Golden Popcorns.

“We are thrilled to announce that Drew Barrymore will be hosting the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards,” Monde Twala, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Paramount Africa said in a statement.

“As a talented actress and producer, Drew embodies the spirit of the MTV brand with her creativity, energy, and passion for entertainment. We are confident that she will bring her signature charm and wit to the stage, making the show a must-see event for fans around the world. Drew rose to fame at age six when director Steven Spielberg cast her as Gertie in E.T.: The Extraterrestrial (1982). She is a Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award-winner. Drew was most recently nominated for Best Talk/Topical Show at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted.

Cameron Diaz recently said that seeing Drew‘s struggles with alcohol was “difficult to watch,” but was always by her side in support.
