Freddie Prinze Jr Reveals the Fan-Favorite Role He Regrets

Freddie Prinze Jr. is reflecting on his career.

Over the years, the 47-year-old actor has starred in several hit movies, including She’s All That, Scooby-Doo, and I Know What You Did Last Summer.

In a new interview, Freddie revealed that the fan-favorite role that he now regrets playing.

“I’ve been on two jobs where I had regret doing it and Scooby was one of them,” Freddie revealed to TooFab.

If you forgot, Freddie starred as Fred Jones in the 2002′s Scooby-Doo and it’s sequel, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, alongside now-wife Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne.

“There was just too much bait and switch on the first one,” Freddie explained. “The studio was not honest with me in any way shape or form.”

Back in November 2022, Freddie revealed that he was forced to take a pay cut for Scooby-Doo 2, and that’s what ultimately led to his decision to leave the franchise.

Freddie also said that he has “zero interest” in reprising his role as Fred in a possible Scooby-Doo revival.

Also in the interview, Freddie recalled the “miserable” time he had on set of another movie that almost made him quit acting.
