Keanu Reeves Says He's 'Heartbroken' Over Death of 'John Wick' Co-Star Lance Reddick

Keanu Reeves is breaking his silence on the death of his John Wick co-star Lance Reddick.

On Friday (March 17), it was announced that Lance had suddenly died at the age of 60. He was best known for his role as Charon the concierge in the John Wick movies and as Cedric Daniels in HBO’s The Wire.

Shortly after his death, Keanu, 58, and John Wick director Chad Stahelski released a joint statement remembering Lance.

“We are deeply saddened and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick,” Keanu and Chris shared in a statement with Variety. “He was the consummate professional and a joy to work with. Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family and friends. We dedicate the film to his loving memory. We will miss him dearly.”

It was revealed that Lance‘s body was found at his home in Studio City, Calif. by law enforcement at 9:30 in the morning. As of right now, Lance‘s cause of death is currently unclear, but law enforcement sources say that it appears natural.

John Wick: Chapter 4 will be released on theaters on Friday, March 24.
