Nancy Meyers Rom-Com Cancelled by Netflix Might Have New Home at Warner Bros

Nancy Meyer‘s new rom-com might get a green light at Warner Bros after Netflix pulled the plug on it.

The acclaimed director is gearing up to direct her first feature-length film since 2015′s The Intern. She reportedly approached the likes of Scarlett Johansson and three other A-listers to sign on for the project before the streaming platform dropped it.

Less than a week after Netflix cancelled the release, reports are circulating that it will find a new home.

According to Deadline, Warner Bros is in “early talks” about working with Nancy on the project. Sources told the outlet that nothing was set in stone yet but that interest was there.

Sources suggest that talks between Nancy and Netflix stalled due to discussions about the film’s budget. They suggest that the director wanted $150 million but the streamer would not agree to more than $130 million.
