Sources close to Shaquille O’Neal have responded to fans who expressed some worries over his most recent social media photo.

The 51-year-old former pro basketball player snapped, and then shared, a photo from the hospital as he was lying in bed, causing fans to be a bit worried about what was going on.

According to TMZ, Shaq actually just underwent hip surgery and the photo in question was post-op, and he was healing in recovery.

In the photo, Shaq actually tagged his TNT co-hosts, Candace Parker and Ernie Johnson, as he was watching them on television during his recovery.

“i’m always watching @TurnerSportsEJ and @Candace_Parker,” he wrote. “miss y’all.”

The outlet added that Shaq had underwent an operation to correct something in his hip and that everything went “according to plan”.
