Florence Pugh Opens Up About Zach Braff Writing 'A Good Person' For Her To Star In

Florence Pugh was all over New York City on Wednesday (March 22) promoting her brand new movie, A Good Person.

The 27-year-old actress was seen heading out of an afternoon interview in a chic Valentino look with Calzedonia tights, just hours after her appearance on Good Morning America, where she wore a vibrant orange skirt and leather jacket.

While speaking with Variety, Florence got candid about reuniting with Zach Braff, who happens to be her ex-boyfriend, for the movie.

Talking a bit about Zach‘s process of writing the film for her, Florence said that she was “brought to tears” by it.

“It’s no secret that I only pick very intense roles,” she shared. “This isn’t the first time I’ve been reduced to tears pretty much every single scene that I’ve been in. I like finding the ugliness in humans. I love being raw. I love being given a script where it challenges myself and I have never picked a role unless I’ve been scared of it.”

Florence added, “This is someone that knew me, knew my potential and wanted to work with me. I think it would have been strange if he wrote a Nancy Meyers thing for me to be like, ‘So… you’re not going to cry in this movie.’ I’d be like, ‘Oh God!’”

A Good Person opens on Friday in theaters.
