Ahmed‘s cameo came in the form of a famous Jedi named Kelleran Beq, according to Entertainment Wekekly.

He is introduced through a flashback to Order 66, the same order from Revenge of the Sith where Emperor Palpatine ordered the Clone Troopers to kill all the Jedis including the children.

During the chaos, Kelleran saves Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) who was a Jedi youngling in training in Coruscant at the time. With two lightsabers, Kelleran defeats the enemies and takes Grogu with him on a ship.

The episode concludes without revealing where Kelleran and Grogu are headed, leaving the door open for Ahmed to potentially make another appearance later on.

This isn’t the first time Ahmed has played Beq.

He first took on the role in an children’s game show called Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge in 2020. The challenge series had teams of kids in obstacle courses, testing their knowledge in a quiz as they’re also tempted by the dark side.

Ahmed also played Achk Med-Beq, a startled patron of the Outlander Club on Coruscant in Attack of the Clones.

This isn’t the first time the Mandalorian has included a surprise actor in the series.
