Gwyneth Paltrow's Lawyer Denied Request for Security to Give 'Treats' to Bailiffs During Utah Ski Crash Trial

Gwyneth Paltrow‘s lawyer made an unexpected request during the third day of her ongoing civil case in Park City, Utah.

The 50-year-old actress and Goop founder is in the middle of an eight-day suit, which sees her facing off against retired optometrist Terry Sanderson. He alleges that she caused him considerable damage after they collided in a ski accident back in 2016.

While in court on Thursday (March 23), Gwyneth‘s lawyer Steve Owens was denied by the judge after asking for permission for her security team to bring in “treats” for the bailiffs.

In a video that has since gone viral online, Steve told Judge Kent Holmberg that his client’s private security “wanted to bring in treats for the bailiffs” because they’d been so helpful.

The request was denied after Terry‘s legal team objected. They expressed disappointment that they were not asked before the situation was brought up in the courtroom.

“Ok, there’s an objection so thank you, but no thank you,” the judge responded to the request. He noted that it would be “fine” if the treats were handed out after court was over.

A video from the moment has since circulated on Twitter.
