Robert Downey Jr. Considering Starring Role in Remake of Hitchcock Classic 'Vertigo'

Robert Downey Jr. might have found his next big role.
The 57-year-old Marvel Cinematic Universe star has reportedly set his sights on starring in a remake of Alfred Hitchcock‘s classic movie Vertigo at Paramount Pictures.
According to a new report, his starring role hasn’t been confirmed just yet. However, he and his wife are involved in a different element of the movie.

Variety reports that Robert and his wife Susan Downey are both tapped to produce the movie. They have a joint production company called Team Downey.
Meanwhile, Steven Knight has been tapped to work on the script.
The original movie was released in 1958.
If he takes the role, this will be one of Robert‘s first big projects since he wrapped up with the MCU back in 2019. Since then, he’s starred in Dolittle and a documentary called Sir.
He’s set to appear alongside the likes of Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt and Matt Damon in Oppenheimer, which will arrive this summer.
