Joaquin Phoenix Films 'Joker: Folie a Deux' Scenes in NYC

Joaquin Phoenix is back in Joker mode.

The 48-year-old actor was seen on the set of Joker: Folie à Deux filming in downtown Manhattan early on Sunday morning (March 26).

In one scene, Joaquin’s titular character was seen being escorted away by police cars inside a correctional Gotham Police van.

One day before, we saw Lady Gaga in costume for the first time as Harley Quinn filming in New York City.

Last month, director Todd Phillips shared the movie’s first official photo of Gaga and Joaquin.

Joker: Folie à Deux will reportedly be a musical, and is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 4, 2024.
