AJ McLean & Wife Rochelle Separate 'Temporarily,' Plan to 'Come Back Together' in Future

AJ McLean and his wife Rochelle DeAnna McLean are separating with the intent of getting back together.

The 45-year-old Backstreet Boys singer and his wife, who wed in 2011, released a statement revealing that they are separating but hope to reunite after individually working on themselves.

“Marriage is hard, but worth it. We have mutually decided to separate temporarily to work on ourselves, and on our marriage with the hope of building a stronger future. The plan is to come back together and continue to nurture our love for one another and our family. We ask for respect and privacy at this time,” they said in a joint statement to TMZ.

The couple continued, “Separation is hard enough without the commentary, please be kind and remember there are children involved.” They are parents to Elliott, 10, and Lyric, 6.

Last year, AJ and Rochelle made headlines when they explained that their child had changed their name.
