Alicia Vikander & Michael Fassbender to Star in Thriller 'Hope,' Will Have English-Speaking Roles in the Korean-Language Film

Real life married couple Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander have booked their second film together!

The 34-year-old actress and 45-year-old actor will co-star in the thriller Hope from acclaimed Korean director Na Hong-Jin. Interestingly enough, the film will be primarily in Korean.

Deadline reports that Alicia and Michael‘s roles will be English-speaking, and they wanted to do this project because they wanted to work with this director after viewing and enjoying his previous work.

Here’s the synopsis, from Deadline: The film “will follow the residents of Hopo Port, where a mysterious discovery is made on the outskirts of the remote harbor town. Before long, the residents find themselves in a desperate fight for survival against something they have never encountered before.”

Michael and Alicia previously starred in The Light Between Oceans together. If you don’t know, they got married back in 2017 and Alicia confirmed they have one child together. They are notoriously private, but she did make some rare comments about their family last year.
