Katy Perry's Been Sober for Five Weeks, Has a Pact With Orlando Bloom

Katy Perry is abstaining from alcohol at the moment.

The 38-year-old American Idol judge made an appearance at a cocktail event at Mister Paradise on Monday (March 27) in New York City, and revealed that she hasn’t been drinking for a while.

“I’ve been sober for five weeks today… I’ve been doing a pact with my partner [fiancé Orlando Bloom] and I want to quit,” she said to People while jokingly pretending to cry.

When co-star Luke Bryan playfully asked if she was caving, she responded: “No, girl! I can’t cave. I made a promise. Three months.”

The bar they were hanging out at had plenty of her drink, De Soi, a line of non-alcoholic apéritifs that she launched in 2022.
