'The Night Agent' Earns Very Quick Season 2 Renewal, 6 Days After Huge Netflix Debut!

The Night Agent has earned a very quick renewal at Netflix!

The streaming service announced on Wednesday (March 29) that the show had earned a second season order after a huge debut, with about 168.71 million hours viewed within the first few days on the streamer.

“The last week has been a whirlwind as we’ve finally been able to share The Night Agent with the world. To see the tremendous reaction to the show has been a great joy and is a credit to our cast, our writers, our directors, our crew and our partners at Sony Pictures Television and Netflix. We couldn’t be any prouder or more excited to get cracking on Season 2 to share the further adventures of Night Action with our newfound fans,” executive producer and showrunner Shawn Ryan said in a statement.

The second season will consist of 10 episodes. Season 1 only debuted a few days ago on March 23!

Based on Matthew Quirk‘s novel, the new series centers on on a low level FBI Agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings — until the night that it does, propelling him into a fast moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office.

Gabriel Basso stars alongside Luciane Buchanan, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Sarah Desjardins, Eve Harlow, Phoenix Raei, Enrique Murciano, D.B. Woodside, and Hong Chau.
