In the police complaint, which was filed on March 7, Plenel claims that he was assaulted by Maiwenn while eating at a restaurant in Paris.

Variety reports that Maiwenn “allegedly came to his table and grabbed him by the hair before spitting in his face without saying a word, then stormed out of the venue.”

Plenel says he was “traumatized by the incident.”

Variety says that Maiwenn has never been the subject of a Mediapart investigation, but her ex-husband Luc Besson has been the subject of a series of stories surrounding #MeToo allegations.

There have been reports that Johnny and Maiwenn didn’t get along during the production of Jeanne du Barry.
