Denzel Washington & Dakota Fanning Reunite in 'The Equalizer 3' - Trailer Released!

Denzel Washington co-stars with Dakota Fanning in the third and final film in The Equalizer series.

The pair co-starred together in 2004′s Man on Fire. Denzel portrayed John Creasy, a former CIA SAD/SOG officer turned bodyguard, who goes on a revenge rampage after his charge, nine-year-old Lupita “Pita” Ramos (Dakota Fanning), is abducted in Mexico City.

In The Equalizer 3, the 68-year-old Oscar-winning actor plays retired U.S. Marine and former DIA officer Robert McCall while Dakota‘s role is currently unclear.

“Police found multiple dead bodies in that farm in Sicily,” Dakota‘s character says to McCall. “Did you kill them?”

“Do I look like a killer?” McCall says as he laughs.

The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua, who previously worked with Denzel on Training Day (2001), The Equalizer (2014), The Magnificent Seven (2016), and The Equalizer 2 (2018).

The Equalizer 3 is set to be released on September 1, 2023.

Denzel is currently in talks to join Paul Mescal in the upcoming sequel to 2000 blockbuster Gladiator.
