Erin Cahill Talks Tackling Mental Health & More In Hallmark’s New Movie ‘Hearts In The Game’

On the movie tackling all the relatable issues from mental health to a fallout of a friendship, and the pressure is to go the extra mile in your work:
“The fact that this movie dealt with mental health is just so incredible to me, so important,” Erin tells us. “I was over the moon when I read that. I think it’s, for me, that’s something that I’m a big, um, advocate of, but also it’s something that I think collectively, you know, coming off the last couple years, we’ve all had boughs with.”
“It’s a really important conversation,” she continued, “and so I couldn’t have been more thrilled or honored to be picked for this particular project, and be part of it. I’ve had some friends who’ve dealt with some pretty intense mental health stuff, and I think that definitely helped in that way.”
Erin notes that Hazel “really aligned with how I feel about it. It’s really courageous to talk about it, and I think it makes you stronger and I think you are a better person for if you’re struggling to get help and talk about it, in whatever way that looks.”
“It doesn’t have to look like one thing or another. It can look all different ways for all different people, but I really think it’s important to, to grow in that way,” she says. “The preparation was just experiencing that in my life, and we’ve all had friends that we’ve missed out on. I definitely have focused on work and missed out on weddings and things like that.”
