F1 Driver Fernando Alonso Brushes Off Questions About Taylor Swift Ahead of Azerbaijan Race

Fernando Alonso is trying to avoid answering any questions about Taylor Swift ahead of the Formula One Grand Prix race in Azerbaijan.

Earlier this week, there was a rumor that the 41-year-old driver and Taylor, 33, could be possibly romantically involved, a blind item suggested.

During a press event, Fernando was asked about the rumors.

One reporter at the track tried to get Fernando to confirm anything about him and the singer, however, he brushed all the questions away and turned his focus back to the race.

“I have to ask this one,” the reporter started, according to 7News, “because if I don’t, I’ll just be leaving a blank space, and I know it potentially is your love story and nobody else’s. But there have obviously been rumors… over the break.”

Fernando knew what they were talking about and cut them off, although he did smirk at the question.

“I have nothing to say, mate. I answered already,” he said.

The reporter then pressed on, “Did you answer already? All I saw was you wink at the camera…You have nothing to say? That’s not an answer though.”

Fernando then turned the question back to the race: “It is so complicated (the) Baku format already, I’m sure you have a lot of questions (about the race).”

In a separate interview, with Marca, Fernando said the same thing: “I usually keep my personal and professional life apart. I prefer not to comment on it.”
