King Charles & Queen Camilla Make Surprise Appearance on 'American Idol' After Coronation with Katy Perry & Lionel Richie

Katy Perry and Lionel Richie weren’t able to be on American Idol in person for this weekend’s show, however, they still make an appearance with two special guests – King Charles III and Queen Camilla!

The newly coronated monarchs popped up next to Katy and Lionel, who both performed during the Coronation Concert on Sunday night (May 7) in a special video that aired during the show.

Katy and Lionel made use of the throne room at Windsor Castle, just a few hours after their performances, with Charles and Camilla sliding into the frame.

Before thanking the two for their performances at the concert, the two royals joked with them, asking how long they were going to be using the room for.
