'Selling Sunset' Star Bre Tiesi Explains Why Nick Cannon Doesn't Have to Pay Child Support for His 12 Kids

Bre Tiesi is sharing some insight into her relationship with Nick Cannon.

If you didn’t know, Bre, 32, and Nick, 42, welcomed son Legendary in July 2022, and just a few weeks later, Bre joined the cast of Selling Sunset for season six.

All 11 episodes of the new season are now available for streaming on Netflix, and in one episode, Bre reveals why Nick doesn’t legally have to pay child support for all 12 of his children.

In episode seven, Bre has drinks with co-star Amanza Smith, who asks Bre if it’s true that someone doesn’t have to pay child support after having 10 children.

“That’s true,” Bre responds. “The way it works is like, after 10, the court can basically say he can’t afford to pay child support. Or because he is who he is, they could say, ‘We know you can afford X amount for each household.’”

In a confessional, Amanza says, “That explains a lot, I guess. I’d keep going too.”

Later in their conversation, Bre points out that she doesn’t rely on Nick to financially take care of her or their son.

“I take care of myself,” Bre says. “If my son needs something, or we do, I ask, that’s all I have to do. I know he’s a good dad and Nick is not my sugar daddy, Nick is not the reason I’m where I’m at.”

In a confessional, Bre adds, “I definitely strive to be the best at everything, to the point where I drive myself insane, but I’ve worked my ass off to be where I’m at. I did this all myself, and of course, my son is even more of a motivation. I want to give him everything from me. Not from my partner.”

Nick recently admitted he made a big mistake when wishing the six mothers of his 12 children on Mother’s Day.
