F1 Driver Carlos Sainz Injured Ahead of Monaco Grand Prix

Carlos Sainz might be out of the F1 Monaco Grand Prix this weekend.

The 28-year-old Formula One driver for Ferrari was injured during a charity football match just days ahead of the race, according to Sports Illustrated.

It’s not known how his injury happened, but Carlos was given medical attention and had his upper leg wrapped up in tape.

The extent of Carlos‘ injury is still unknown and it’s also not known if the injury will prevent him from racing in this weekend’s Grand Prix in Monaco, set to happen on May 28.

Carlos is currently in 5th place in the standings of the 2023 season, following Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez of Team Red Bull, Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso, and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton.

He trails Lewis by just 12 points at 44. Max is leading with 119.
