Beyonce Honors 'Beloved Queen' Tina Turner Following Her Death

Beyonce is the latest star to remember Tina Turner.

On Wednesday (May 24), it was sadly announced that the “Proud Mary” entertainer had passed away at the age of 83-year-old after a long illness.

Several hours later, the 41-year-old “Break My Soul” singer took to her website to pen a touching message honoring her “beloved queen.”

“My beloved queen. I love you endlessly,” Beyonce wrote. “I’m so grateful for your inspiration, and all the ways you have paved the way. You are strength and resilience. You are the epitome of power and passion.”

“We are all so fortunate to have witnessed your kindness and beautiful spirit that will forever remain,” Beyonce continued. “Thank you for all you have done.”

For years, Beyonce has called Tina her biggest inspiration. Back in 2005, Beyonce performed a tribute to Tina during her Kennedy Center Honors ceremony.

Then in 2008, the two stars performed a duet of “Proud Mary” at the Grammy Awards.
