Britney Spears Bashes 'Mean People,' Seemingly Compares Herself to Miley Cyrus & Talks About Relationship With Her Sons in New Statement

Britney Spears put “mean people” on blast and opened up about how she’s doing in a new statement.

The 41-year-old “Me Against the Music” pop star took to Instagram on Wednesday (May 24) to share a lengthy note that addressed the way that people have been treating her. She was recently the subject of another documentary and critics have been loudly wondering about her mental health for months now.

In the process of responding to the hate she receives, Britney provided an update on her relationship with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline. She also seemingly addressed a viral moment involving Miley Cyrus.

“I’m not sure why people are trying to stir up negativity … you guys are always so d-mn sneaky,” Britney started the since-deleted message. “Am talking about the ones who are creating lies !!!”

She continued, describing herself as “a woman who has the right to drive whenever I want to go shopping … whenever I want and I do a d-mn good job at acknowledging my practice in just being a good person !!!”

“With that said I’m disgusted with the attempts of people saying I’m not well … people are hateful and I have dogs and I’m quite happy with my easy way of living,” she wrote. “I take care of myself !!! I take 2 hour baths and I’m learning to be myself which is awesome !!! By no means am I perfect !!!”

Britney shifted the focus to her sons, writing, “I miss my children desperately and I think of them everyday !!!”

She also explained why she doesn’t broadcast the bad days on social media: “Some days are better than others and I do a good job at keeping it together !!! No I don’t show myself crying and weeping on my bad days because frankly it’s none of anybody’s business !!! You all have private homes with private doors with private issues … that’s why it’s called private !!! I believe in taking my vulnerable moments to myself … Why would I ever share that with a world and media who hurt me deeply at one point in my life … No thank you !!!”

“I have an amazing therapist and friends whom I adore … Please take your negativity elsewhere and learn respect,” she wrote.

The pop star seemingly addressed when Miley lit up a blunt onstage while attending the 2013 EMAs, writing, “What would people do if I smoked a blunt after the EMAs like Cyrus who I have mad respect for ??? I honestly hope you mean people kiss my ass !!!”

Last week Britney directly responded to the newest documentary about herself and provided an update to fans waiting to read her memoir.

A new report highlighted where she stands with various members of her estranged family, including her sons and parents.
