Rose Byrne Weighs In On a 'Bridesmaids' Sequel, Reveals What It Would Take to Get Her To Agree

Rose Byrne revealed what she thought about getting back together with her Bridesmaids castmates to make a sequel.

The 43-year-old actress brought Helen, Maya Rudolph‘s wealthy friend who becomes Kristin Wiig‘s frenemy, to life in the 2011 comedy.

After Melissa McCarthy weighed in on doing a sequel, Rose clarified what it would take to get her to sign on.

During an interview with People, Rose said that she would “of course” be willing to return to the project. There’s just one caveat: Everyone else needs to sign on, too.

“If all the girls were in, I absolutely would,” she explained. Rose continued, noting that the original movie was “a hard act to follow.”

“It was so magical and so beloved,” she said, chiming in with a different proposal. “Maybe we could do a different movie together. A re-imagining of something.”

By the sounds of it, Rose is mostly excited to work with the movie’s stars again.

“But I miss them all. I saw Kristen Wiig recently. It was so lovely to see her. I hadn’t seen her for so long, and they’ve all got such a special place in my heart,” she gushed.

Last year, the director of Bridesmaids had some bad news for fans who might be hoping for a sequel.
