Who Plays Vanessa in 'The Little Mermaid' Live-Action Movie? Meet Jessica Alexander!

We’re just one day away from The Little Mermaid officially hitting theaters!

The upcoming live-action remake of the beloved 1989 Disney animated movie will be released in theaters on Friday (May 26) starring Halle Bailey as Ariel, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, and Javier Bardem as King Triton.

While Melissa McCarthy will be playing the Ursula in her octopus form, she will not be playing Vanessa – the human persona that Ursula transforms into and uses Ariel’s stolen voice to hypnotize Prince Eric.

Vanessa will instead by played by Jessica Alexander.
