While on MSNBC, Cher explained that she made an effort to see Tina in Switzerland where she lived.

“I started going to visit her because I thought, ‘I need to put this time into our friendship, so she knows we haven’t forgotten her,’” she said, according to Page Six. “So we all took turns going and spending time with her and it made her happy.”

She described the visits as happy ones full of laughter.

“She was having a good time in spite of the fact that she was really sick and not wanting people to know about it,” Cher recalled. “But I know, towards the end, she told me once, she said, ‘I’m really ready. I just don’t want to put up with this anymore.’”

Cher revealed that Tina sent her off with a gift – a pair of shoes. “What kind of shoes? Tina Turner shoes,” she added.

Tina has been remembered by other stars, including the likes of Beyonce. Her cause of death has been revealed.

Meanwhile, Cher spoke out about her age after celebrating her 77th birthday shortly before losing her friend.
