ABC to Reboot 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' with Home Edit's Clea Shearer & Joanna Teplin as Hosts

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is coming back!

On Monday (June 5), Variety reported that a new version of the series was in the works at ABC.

The outlet adds that Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, founders of the lifestyle brand The Home Edit, have been tapped to host the reboot.

Just like in the original series, each episode will feature a family in need of a new home or major renovations to their current home. Clea and Joanna will then work with a team of designers, builders and contractors to create their perfect house.

Clea and Joanna previously hosted the Netflix show Get Organized with The Home Edit, which has aired for two seasons.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition originally ran from 2004-2012 with Ty Pennington as host. It was briefly revived on HGTV in 2023, with Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson brought in to host.
