Shawn Mendes Announces New Song Using Photo of New York City's Orange Sky from Canadian Wildfires - Fans React

Shawn Mendes has announced his new song and he appears to be using a photo of New York City’s orange sky as the single artwork.

The 24-year-old singer has been on a break from the music world ever since July 2022, when he canceled his Wonder Tour to focus on his mental health.

Shawn took to social media on Thursday night (June 8) to announced that “What The Hell Are We Dying For?” is coming at midnight ET.

Fans are excited to hear the new song, but they seem mixed on the artwork.

New York City was covered in an orange haze on Tuesday and Wednesday this week due to the aftermath of the wildfires in Canada, where Shawn is from. Many were finding it hard to breathe while outside and Broadway shows, baseball games, and more events were canceled due to the air quality.

One person tweeted that Shawn‘s “comeback with a single called what the hell are we dying for and its cover being the wildfires in canada and the smog in new york is definitely a big what moment.”
