“I don’t know Tha Carter III, Tha Carter II, Tha Carter One from Tha Carter IV,” Lil Wayne shared with Rolling Stone.

“And that’s just my God’s honest truth,” Lil Wayne continued. “You could lie, you could ask me [about] such and such song, I wouldn’t even know what we talking about.”

Lil Wayne went on to say that his albums hold “no significance” to him “at all” since he can’t remember them.

He also said that his memory loss has gotten so bad that he doesn’t even recall when his albums came out, noting Tha Carter III as an example.

“That’s how much I don’t know,” Lil Wayne said, before sharing a possible explanation as to why his mind doesn’t recollect certain things.

“I work every day, bro — every single day,” Lil Wayne said. “And also, I always look at it as the curse part of the gift and the curse.”

Lil Wayne then expressed that he believes there’s a trade-off for his memory loss, pointing to his “amazing mind” that created the hit songs.

“I believe that [God] blessed me with this amazing mind, but would not give [me] an amazing memory to remember this amazing s–t,” Lil Wayne said.

A few years ago, Lil Wayne opened up about his mental health and described his suicide attempt when he was just 12-years-old.
