Oscars 2024 Telecast: There's 2 Big Changes From Previous Years!

1. Oscars Ceremony Moves Up By 1 Hour

To ensure the telecast stays in primetime, decision makers have decided to move the broadcast up by one hour.

This is a big change from previous years, as the show had previously begun at 8pm ET. Now, the telecast will kick off at 7pm and is scheduled to end at 10:30 pm ET. If you’re an avid watcher of the Oscars, you’ll know that every year, the show does tend to run long. By starting an hour earlier, hope would be that the show end before it gets too late on the east coast.
