Whitney Leavitt Confirms When She’s Leaving ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’

Whitney Leavitt is addressing the rumors.
The 32-year-old The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star spoke out in a new video posted to her Instagram regarding her reported exit from the Hulu TV series.
Whitney was one of the original MomTok members featured on the reality show, but famously seemingly left, before coming back in season three for one reason: to get cast on Dancing With the Stars.
Now, she’s clearing up just how long she’ll appear on the show.

“You’re gonna want to sit down for this video. I am leaving The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Take a minute, take it in. I feel like I had to start my video that way,” she began.
“I’ve seen a lot of conversation on my announcement, so I just wanted to come on here and share my thoughts. Just to be very clear, I am finishing season five, so yes, I will be in that season, but also yes, it will be my last,” she continued.
“It’s honestly so crazy to me looking back on this journey, because I had been trying to get into theater and film way before Secret Lives even came into my life. The reality show just fell into my life organically, and I said yes to it. It’s definitely not the path that I had envisioned in my mind to get to where I am today, but I wouldn’t change a thing,” Whitney explained.
“I have experienced so much with this group of women, and in that process, I’ve also learned so much about myself. We have been through so much together, even more than what you’ve seen. We’ve had really big highs, really big lows, and no matter what happens with our relationships, that is something that will always be a part of our lives and will always be a part of my life. I wouldn’t change a thing.” “
“The times I’ve walked away from quote unquote MomTok, it came from a place of anger and frustration, but this time is significantly different because I’m leaving with gratitude. I feel content. I feel like this is a chapter that’s closing in my life, and honestly, I believe that’s how it was always meant to be. I’m so grateful for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. It’s got me where I am today. It’s given me the opportunities that you all have seen, but I’m ready. I’m ready for the next chapter, and I cannot wait to share with you guys what’s next,” she concluded.

Following her stint on DWTS, where she was partnered with Mark Ballas and made it to the semifinals, she was then cast as Roxie Hart in Chicago. For the past month of her extended run in the musical, she was joined by Mark, where they starred together as he played Billy Flynn.
Whitney has been quite vocal about her aspirations for becoming an actress, and is even set to star in an upcoming holiday rom-com, which she found out she booked during filming season four of Mormon Wives.
