Nicki Minaj flies in from the rafters while opening the show at the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards held at The Hydro on Sunday (November 9) in Glasgow, Scotland.

The 31-year-old rapper is the host for the evening’s festivities and she is also performing during the show.

Nicki is nominated for four awards – Best Female Act, Best Hip Hop Act, Biggest Fans, and Best Look.

It was just announced that Jess has joined the lineup of the 2014 Capital Jingle Bell Ball next month at London’s O2 Arena.

Singer Labrinth, who had a hit song this year with “Beneath Your Beautiful,” walked the carpet at the show as well.
