Tony Bennett almost took a big tumble after his performance at the 2016 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, but he was saved by Miss Piggy!

The 90-year-old singer was wrapping up a performance with the star of The Muppets when the float they were standing on started to move and he lost his footing.

Tony grabbed onto the side of the float, but Miss Piggy was also right there to help him catch his balance. Watch below!

Don’t worry about Tony, though, because his rep says he is doing just fine. “Tony is great and thanks the crowd along the parade route for their warmth and he wishes everyone a very happy Thanksgiving,” the rep told the NY Post.

The cast of Hairspray Live! performed “You Can’t Stop The Beat” in the 2016 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 24.

The all-star cast of the upcoming holiday musical includes Harvey Fierstein, Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande, Kristin Chenoweth, Martin Short, Derek Hough, Dove Cameron, Garrett Clayton, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Ephraim Sykes, exciting newcomer Maddie Baillio and special guest stars Billy Eichner, Sean Hayes, Andrea Martin and Rosie O’Donnell.

Country singer Kelsea Ballerini is celebrating Thanksgiving in the Big Apple this year and she met up with her friend Taylor Swift for a night out on Broadway before the holiday.

The 23-year-old singer caught a performance of Kinky Boots with Taylor on Wednesday night (November 23).

“Absolutely amazed and inspired by @kinkybootsbway,” Kelsea captioned the below Instagram pics with Taylor.

If you are watching the 2016 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, something that you might be wondering is why it appears the singers are lip syncing. Well, that’s because they are!

Nearly all performers in the parade have been lip syncing instead of singing live for years for multiple reasons, the biggest one being that floats are moving throughout the parade and having singers perform live would be a logistical nightmare.

Another reason is the cold weather that performers frequently have to face during the parade. It currently is a cool 45 degrees in New York City, while some years the weather is much colder than that.

Just a couple years ago, the band American Authors made headlines after they didn’t even put their microphones to their mouths when their performance on a float started.

The parade officially begins @ 9AM ET and airs on NBC.

The route is 2.5 miles long, starting at W. 77th Street and Central Park West.

It continues down to Columbus Circle where it turns onto 59th Street and heads East.

Then it turns onto 6th Avenue and heads downtown toward Herald Square where it finishes up right in front of Macy’s.

Daya gets behind the mic as she rehearses for tomorrow’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Wednesday night (November 23) in New York City.

The 18-year-old singer was later joined in front of the iconic Macy’s store in NYC by America’s Got Talent winner Grace Vanderwaal.

Also spotted rehearsing were Sarah McLachlan, LunchMoney Lewis, Maddie & Tae, Timeflies, Kelsea Ballerini, along with Tony Bennett and Miss Piggy.

The festivities begin tomorrow morning (November 24) at 9am EST on NBC!
