Shawn Mendes gives it his all for a great performance at the 2016 MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday night (June 19) at MuchMusic HQ in Toronto, Canada.

The 17-year-old singer performed his hot new song “Treat You Better” live on television for the first time!

Other performers at the event included Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Tegan and Sara, Alessia Cara, “Lost Boy” singer Ruth B, and “Panda” rapper Desiigner.

The 23-year-old singer performed his song “Close” sans collaborator Tove Lo.

While accepting the award for International Artist of the Year, Nick paid tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting.

“It’s been a tough couple of weeks�”a lot of hate and violence in the world�”but it’s moments like this where we can all come together and celebrate the good times and be full of joy and happiness,” Nick said. “It’s a beautiful thing so thank you for this. I dedicate this to all the families and victims of the shootings recently. We love you and we have not forgotten.”

The ladies of Fifth Harmony hit the stage for an awesome performance to close the show at the 2016 MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday night (June 19) at MuchMusic HQ in Toronto, Canada.

The girl group – made up of Ally Brooke, Camila Cabello, Lauren Jauregui, Normani Kordei, and Dinah Hansen – performed their song “Work From Home.”

5H also won two awards during the night – Most Buzzworthy International Artist or Group and Fan Fave International Artist or Group!

Camila was also a big winner for her collaboration with Shawn Mendes, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” That video won Fan Fave Video and Best Pop Video.

Tyler Posey hits the stage with his guitar for an impromptu performance at the 2016 MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday night (June 19) at MuchMusic HQ in Toronto, Canada.

The 24-year-old Teen Wolf actor appeared on an episode of Lip Sync Battle alongside the awards show’s host Gigi Hadid and she joked about how he came in second place.

Tyler then said that he would win if the competition was for actual singing and not lip-syncing.

Shawn kicked off the performance with his song “Sound of Your Heart” and then Hailee joined him as they segued into her current single “Rock Bottom.”

The guys are both set to hit the stage for performances this evening and they’re both nominated for awards.

Nick has two nominations – iHeartRadio International Artist of the Year and Most Buzzworthy International Artist or Group.

Shawn is nominated for six awards – Video of the Year, Fan Fave Video, and Best Pop Video for “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” as well as Most Buzzworthy Canadian, iHeartRadio Canadian Single of the Year for “Stitches,” and Fan Fave Artist or Group.

Also in attendance at the event was James Bay, who will be performing as well!
