Kate Middleton‘s dress for the 2018 BAFTAs caused a ton of controversy and now a royal expert, Katie Nicholl, is speaking out saying the Duchess was in a “no win situation.”

If you don’t know, Duchess Kate chose to wear a green dress while most people chose black dresses in support of the Time’s Up movement.

Katie spoke with TMZ and said the dress was likely “pre-ordered months ago and custom-made with her pregnancy in mind.”

Therefore, Duchess Kate probably chose her dress before the protest was even planned.

The Royal family is also not encouraged to take a political stand on topics.

The four winners of the acting awards at the 2018 EE British Academy Film Awards were pretty predictable this year!

The actors who won were the same four that won at the Golden Globes, the Critics’ Choice Awards, and the SAG Awards last month.

Gary Oldman took home Best Actor for Darkest Hour, Frances McDormand won Best Actress for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Sam Rockwell won Best Supporting Actor for Three Billboards, and Allison Janney was named Best Supporting Actress for I, Tonya.

Seeing as the same four actors continue to sweep every single award this season, we are pretty sure the Oscars are locked down at this point for these stars!

Hugh Grant and Willem Dafoe look dapper on the red carpet at the 2018 EE British Academy Film Awards held at Royal Albert Hall on Sunday (February 18) in London, England.

The two actors were both nominated the category of Best Supporting Actor during the evening’s ceremony.

Willem walked the red carpet alongside his wife, Giada Colagrande, and Hugh was joined by his girlfriend Anna Eberstein. The two are expecting a baby together, which will be Hugh‘s fifth child!

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again star Julie Walters also hit the red carpet alongside her husband, Grant Roffey.

Nicholas Hoult, Sam Claflin, and Taron Egerton look so handsome on the red carpet at the 2018 EE British Academy Film Awards held at Royal Albert Hall on Sunday (February 18) in London, England.

The guys were all presenters during the event. Taron hit the stage with Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actress Karen Gillan.

Sam‘s former Hunger Games co-star Natalie Dormer was also in attendance!

Rachel Weisz is in glam mode at the 2018 EE British Academy Film Awards held at Royal Albert Hall on Sunday (February 18) in London, England.

Rachel posed on the red carpet alongside her The Favourite co-star, Nicholas Hoult. The movie has not yet been released, and also co-stars Emma Stone.

Rachel also co-stars in the steamy Disobedience alongside Rachel McAdams, which will hit theaters on April 27. Make sure to watch the thrilling trailer if you haven’t already!

The 22-year-old actor was a double nominee at the event. He was up for Best Actor for his work in Call Me By Your Name and he was also nominated for the EE Rising Star Award.

Also in attendance was fellow rising star nominee Florence Pugh, who broke out last year in Lady Macbeth and can currently be seen in The Commuter.
