Angelina Jolie flashes a smirk on the red carpet as she arrived at the 2019 D23 Expo on Saturday (August 24) in Anaheim, Calif.

The 44-year-old actress looked chic in a black and sheer dress as she attended the event to promote the upcoming Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.

Joining Angelina at the event were her co-stars Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Earlier this week, Angelina was in Seoul, South Korea to drop 18-year-old son Maddox off at college.

Disney announced that they’ll be releasing an original animated film next year called Raya and the Last Dragon, featuring the voices of Awkwafina and Cassie Steele!

The stars were in attendance to announce the movie at the D23 Expo on Saturday (August 24) in Anaheim, Calif.

Awkwafina will voice Susi the Dragon while Cassie is playing Raya. They were joined at the event by directors Paul Briggs and Dean Wellins, writer Adele Lim, and producer Osnat Shurer.

Osnat said that the movie takes place in the fictional Kumandra, “a reimagined earth inhabited by an ancient civilization that venerated the mythical dragons for their power and their wisdom. It’s inspired by Southeast Asia, both in its themes of community and hope, and in its design,” according to EW.

Raya is a lone warrior from the fantasy kingdom of Kumandra who teams up with a crew of misfits in her quest to find the Last Dragon and bring light and unity back to their world. Sisu, the Last Dragon, was left on Earth in case dark forces return to the world.

The movie will be released on November 25, 2020.

Yifei Liu, the newcomer who is playing the title role in Disney’s live-action Mulan movie, was absent from the D23 expo amid the controversy in Hong Kong.

The 31-year-old actress was expected to make an appearance at the event, but she likely decided not to attend after fans launched a boycott against the movie due to her support for the police in Hong Kong.

There have been police brutality protests happening in the area for weeks and people are very upset that she showed support for that side of the fight.

The film’s director Niki Caro appeared on stage and debuted several minutes of footage from the highly anticipated project, which will hit theaters on March 27, 2020.

In Disney’s Mulan, the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern invaders. So, the eldest daughter of an honored but ailing warrior masquerades as a man, transforming into a heroic warrior to ultimately earn her the respect of a grateful nation and a proud father.

Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown are joining the cast of the highly anticipated Disney movie Frozen 2!

The new characters were revealed during the Walt Disney Studios panel at Disney’s D23 Expo on Saturday (August 24) in Anaheim, Calif.

Evan will be playing Queen Iduna, the mother of Anna and Elsa who is seen in a flashback scene, while Sterling is voicing the role of Lieutenant Matthias, who encounters the two heroines during their journey.

People who saw the footage that was unveiled at D23 said that Evan will show off her singing voice in the film!

Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt pose together on the red carpet while attending day two of Disney’s D23 Expo on Saturday (August 24) in Anaheim, Calif.

The co-stars were there to debut the trailers for their upcoming movie Jungle Cruise. They unveiled not one, but two different looks at the movie.

The competing trailers each showed Dwayne and Emily acting as the film’s hero. Those of us not at the convention will hopefully will get the chance to see them soon!

“The movie will be big and epic,” Dwayne told the crowd. “It has romance, comedy, big action, and most importantly, it has me.”

Jungle Cruise, which also stars Paul Giamatti, Jesse Plemons, and Edgar Ramirez, will hit theaters on July 24, 2020.

Marvel announced today (August 24) at the D23 Expo that Black Panther 2 is on the way!

The upcoming superhero film is going to hit theaters on May 6, 2022.

Ryan Coogler, who will return to direct the sequel, was at the event to announce the exciting news alongside Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

The current working title for the movie is Black Panther II, with the 2 in roman numerals. Chadwick Boseman will be returning as the title character for the highly anticipated movie.

The first Black Panther movie grossed over $1.3 billion at the global box office.

Emma Stone will be playing the role of Cruella de Vil in the upcoming Disney live-action movie Cruella and here’s your first look at her in costume!

The 30-year-old Oscar-winning actress was on hand at Disney’s D23 Expo on Saturday (August 24) to talk about the upcoming movie.

In this first look photo, she is seen alongside co-stars Paul Walter Hauser and Joel Fry, as well as some of the dalmatians.

Cruella will be hitting theaters on May 28, 2021, so we have a long time to wait sadly. We’re so excited though!
