Carrie Underwood won the award for Entertainer of the Year (alongside Thomas Rhett) and during her acceptance speech, she forgot to thank three very important people!

“First I want to say that I’m a dummy for not mentioning my husband or my children in my acceptance speech,” Carrie said in a virtual press conference after the show about her husband Mike Fisher and their sons Isaiah Fisher, 5, and Jacob Fisher, 1. “You would think after this many years of seeing other people do speeches and give some of my own, I would think of people that are important to me, so I’m sorry! But I do love my children and my husband.”

Luke Bryan hits the stage for a performance at the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards, which aired on Wednesday (September 16).

The 44-year-old country singer performed his song “One Margarita” at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn.

Earlier in the night, Luke joined the other Entertainer of the Year nominees to kick off the show by performing a medley of their hit songs.

During the pre-show, Luke chatted with People about his American Idol co-star Katy Perry becoming a new mom.

“I have not actually met her personally, but I’ve seen some pictures and [she's] just precious; a precious, precious, beautiful kid, and I can’t wait to see her in person,” Luke said about newborn baby girl Daisy Dove Bloom.

For the first time ever, there has been a tie in the Entertainer of the Year category at the ACM Awards!

Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett shared the honor during the 2020 event and they accepted the awards on stage at the event on Wednesday (September 16) at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn.

A woman hasn’t won the award since Taylor Swift won it back in 2012. Carrie has won Entertainer of the Year twice before, in 2009 and 2010. This is Thomas‘ first win in the category!

During the awards show, Carrie gave two performances – first at the top of the show alongside the other Entertainer of the Year nominees and second to pay tribute to the legendary women of country music.

Maren Morris is a winner!

The 30-year-old singer took the stage to accept the award for Female Artist of the Year at the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards aired on Wednesday (September 16).

Maren looked pretty in a plunging black, silk dress with a green design on it paired with lime-green heels.

Earlier in the night, Maren gave her first performance since welcoming son Hayes with husband Ryan Hurd, performing her song “To Hell and Back.”

Along with winning Female Artist of the Year, Maren also won Vocal Event of the Year “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” with Miranda Lambert.

Congrats Maren!

The guys from the country music band Old Dominion hit the stage to accept an award at the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards on Wednesday night (September 16) in Nashville, Tenn.

The band’s five members all wore face masks while appearing at the event and only lead singer Matt Ramsey removed his to give the acceptance speech.

Old Dominion was nominated for four awards at the show and they took home two – Group of the Year and Song of the Year for “One Man Band.”

While accepting Group of the Year, Matt thanked the band’s management and label, but made sure to give a special shout-out to their touring road crew.

“I think everyone here would be OK if I sent this one out to our road crew who is getting really hard,” he said.

Mickey Guyton puts her baby bump on display while performing at the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards, which aired on Wednesday (September 16).

The 37-year-old pregnant country singer performed her song “What Are You Gonna Tell Her” at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.

Mickey was accompanied by the show’s host Keith Urban, who played the piano while she sang.

“This song is a call to action,” Mickey previously told CMT about the song. “We are all so obviously very much so aware of the problems with the lack of women being played on country radio and just getting played period in country music and getting signed, whether it’s publishers or anything. It’s a really, really hard position to be in. And I’ve been dealing with so many issues as being a woman for so long and I wanted to write about it.”

Mickey and her husband Grant Savoy are currently expecting their first child together!

Keith Urban and Pink are taking over the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards!

The 52-year-old rocker – and host of the show – took to the stage for a virtual performance with the 41-year-old singer-songwriter during the awards show aired on Wednesday (September 16).

Keith and Pink performed their new song “One Too Many” for the first time live together, after originally dropping it just a few hours earlier.

“I’ve always loved Pink’s voice,” Keith shared with Rolling Stone about the collab. “But her artistry and her multi-faceted ability to create, and her God-given talent, truly makes her one of the greatest voices of our time.”
