MTV might not have been able to host a big event in the Barclays Center as planned, but the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards still took place on Sunday (August 30) and we have the full winners list here!

The event was hosted live in New York City and there were also some pre-taped moments from both NYC and Los Angeles.

Lady Gaga was the big winner of the night, taking home the special Tricon Award, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and more.

There were so many great performances, including Gaga‘s epic nine-minute medley that included the very first performance of her smash hit song “Rain on Me” with Ariana Grande.

Bella Hadid gets some green screen time at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, which aired on Sunday (August 30).

The 23-year-old model and soon-to-be aunt rocked a sheer cut out top for the event, which she was seen rocking just days earlier while leaving her apartment building.

Bella was at the event as a presenter, where she announced and delivered the inaugural Tricon Award to Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga wears another epic look while picking up yet another award at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, which aired on Sunday (August 30).

The 34-year-old singer and actress won the award for Artist of the Year and it was presented to her by Kelly Clarkson.

“Everyone always knew if they were hanging out with me that I was on a mission to spread joy through culture, through dance, through music,” she said during the speech.

This was Gaga‘s third award of the night after Best Collaboration and Song of the Year, both for the song “Rain on Me” with Ariana Grande.

Right before winning this award, Gaga and Ari hit the stage for an epic performance of their song, marking the first time they’ve performed it on TV.

FYI: Gaga is wearing a Valentino Couture catsuit and cape, a Maison Met mask, Pleasers shoes, and Dena Kemp fine jewelry.

BTS is taking over New York City…kind of.

The K-Pop group – featuring members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – performed virtually from South Korea during the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, which aired on Sunday (August 30).

For their performance, the guys danced in front of a green screen, that took them to the streets of NYC, as they performed their hit song “Dynamite.”

Last weekend, BTS‘ “Dynamite” music video broke the YouTube record for surpassing over 100 millions views in the first 24 hours since its debut.

BTS has already won three of their four nominations for the night, winning Best Group, Best Pop, and Best K-Pop. They are also nominated for Best Choreography.

FYI: They are all wearing Gucci.

The Weeknd is bringing attention back to Breonna Taylor and Jacob Blake during his 2020 MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech.

The 30-year-old singer won Best R&B for his song, “Blinding Lights”, which he performed earlier in the night.

The Weeknd admitted that it was hard for him to celebrate the win at the moment because of the racial injustice going on in the country.

“It’s really hard for me to celebrate right now and enjoy this moment, so I’m just going to say justice for Jacob Blake and justice for Breonna Taylor,” he said.

Lady Gaga hits the stage for her epic performance at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, which aired on Sunday (August 30).

The 34-year-old entertainer kicked off the set with her song “Chromatica II” and it’s amazing transition into “911.”

Ariana Grande then joined Gaga on stage for the first televised performance of their smash hit single “Rain On Me.”

Gaga ended the set by giving us a new take on her song “Stupid Love,” which was the first single from Chromatica.

FYI: Gaga is wearing a Vex Clothing latex outfit, LA Roxx panties, a Michael Ngo mask pack with Smooth Technology x Diego Montoya, Capezio tights, and Andre 1 shoes during “911.” She added a Deadly Fetish Couture bra, panties, and leg harness for “Rain on Me.” Gaga ended the set in a BCalla catsuit, an Edward Avedis belt, Sad Girl Stones crystals, and Saint Laurent shoes for “Stupid Love.” Ariana is wearing a Howie B top and skirt, a Michael Ngo mask, and Demonia shoes.

Maluma is a winner!

The 26-year-old Colombian superstar took home the award for Best Latin for his song “Que Pena” featuring J Balvin at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, which aired on Sunday (August 30).

This is the first VMAs award for Maluma, who has been nominated three times before this.

Ahead of his win, Maluma took to the stage for a performance of his song “Hawai.” Seconds after he walked off the stage, Maluma found out he won.

“I can’t believe this, this is beautfiul,” Maluma said in his acceptance speech. “This is my first award from the VMAs. Thank you very much, guys, this is for you.”
