Chris Brown is starting something with the 2022 American Music Awards.

The 33-year-old Breezy musician claims that the awards show – which takes place on Sunday (November 20) – cancelled his planned tribute performance to Michael Jackson.

He took to social media to reveal a rehearsal video and commented on the news.

The annual awards show will take place on Sunday night (November 20) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Wayne Brady is hosting the show this year and it will air live on ABC at 8pm.

Bad Bunny leads the nominations this year with eight while Beyonce, Drake, and Taylor Swift both have six each.

The 2022 American Music Awards will be happening in a few weeks and ABC has announced the first round of performers for the big show!

The event will be airing live from the Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 20 at 8pm EST/PST on ABC. The show will stream the next day on Hulu as well.

ABC and Dick Clark Productions just announced seven acts who will take the stage for never-before-seen musical performances and first-ever collaborations. Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks leading up to the show.

Wayne Brady has just been revealed as the host for the upcoming 2022 American Music Awards!

The 50-year-old multi-hyphenate entertainer will hit the stage to host the award show in November on ABC.

“I’m ecstatic and honored to host this year’s AMAs,” Wayne shared in a statement about the gig. “As a musician and music lover, it’s amazing to be part of a night where music fans make their voices heard!”

He added, “It’s a big show, so I’m bringing it all … The funny, the music and the moves!”

The 2022 AMAs are set to air live, from the Microsoft Theater at LA Live, on Sunday (November 20) at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
