Grammys Nominations 2022 Snubs - Who Was Left Off This Year's List?

The 2022 Grammy Awards were postponed amid the pandemic, but they’ve officially got a new date, and there are so many reasons to celebrate with all of the amazing artists that snagged major nominations.

However, there were some huge surprises and snubs of major artists who were largely ignored this year.

Grammys 2022 Rescheduled for April 3 in Las Vegas

The Grammys are being pushed back.

The annual awards ceremony, which had been postponed from its January 31 date amid the rise in coronavirus cases, is now happening on April 3 in Las Vegas, THR reported.

Grammys 2022 Postponed Due to COVID-19 Cases, Artists 'Voiced Reluctance' About Appearing at January 31 Show

It’s official: the 2022 Grammy Awards, set to be hosted by Trevor Noah, have been officially been postponed after much talk that the show would not take place as scheduled on January 31, 2022.

The reason given has been “coronavirus-related concerns” as the Omicron variant rages across the country.

Taylor Swift Dropped as Grammy Nominee for Olivia Rodrigo's 'Sour' Interpolation

The Recording Academy is making some changes to Taylor Swift‘s nominations at the 2022 Grammys.

The 31-year-old folklore singer had previously been listed as a nominee for Olivia‘s album, Sour. The latter artist’s song “deja vu” included an interpolation of Taylor‘s track “Cruel Summer,” which she wrote with frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff and St. Vincent, aka Annie Clark.

According to Billboard, the Recording Academy updated their site to indicate that Taylor, Jack and St. Vincent would no longer be nominated for Sour.

Drake Pulls His Two Grammy Nominations For 2022 Ceremony

Drake has decided to withdraw his name from the 2022 Grammys.

According to Variety, the 35-year-old musician has pulled his name out of the running for the upcoming music award ceremony.

Although there was no reason given at the time, a rep for the Recording Academy confirmed the news of Drake‘s withdrawal.

Drake had earned two Grammy nominations for the upcoming 2022 show, including Best Rap Performance with Future and Young Thug for “Way Too Sexy” and Best Rap Album for Certified Lover Boy.

It’s not clear if The Recording Academy will add more nominees now that Drake has pulled out.

Trevor Noah to Host Grammys 2022!

Trevor Noah is returning to host the 2022 Grammys! He also hosted this past year’s Grammys.

Trevor was amazing as our host for the 63rd Grammy Awards with praise from the music community, music fans and critics,” Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, said in a statement on Wednesday. “We’re so excited to welcome Trevor back to the Grammys stage and feel fortunate to once again have him hosting what we believe will be an unforgettable evening.”

Trevor brought his trademark talent and versatility to last March’s Grammys, and we can’t wait for him to host the event on CBS and Paramount+ again this year,” George Cheeks, president and CEO of CBS and the chief Content officer of News & Sports at Paramount+, added.

The 2022 Grammy Awards, officially known as the 64th GRAMMY Awards, are set to air on CBS and available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+ on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 8-11:30 p.m. ET / 5-8:30 p.m. PT.
